THE POTENTIAL OF THINGS

November, 2015, St Paul Street Gallery, Auckland, New Zealand

The Potential of Things. 2015.

The exhibition was comprised of three main structures that were positioned in different areas of the Gallery. The installation was determined by the individual material capabilities of each object used and by the nature of the gallery space. In this way, the works revealed themselves during their construction. The walls were used to support the structure, however no hidden glues or hooks were used to assist unless made obvious and incorporated as a material in the work. This exhibition was part of the Master of Art and Design graduate exhibition at Auckland university of Technology at ST PAUL St Gallery in Auckland. Alexander was also the recipient of the Wallace Trust Premiere Postgraduate Award 2015, and the Dean's Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Study.
